I found this 80s shirt-dress at Beyond Retro, and it reminded me of a certain dress a certain duchess was wearing not too long ago... Obviously, this is vintage, and not designer like most things in her wardrobe is, but I love the pretty flowers, the high-lo hem and, naturally; the pockets!

It's from Studio Ease (see what I did there with the title?), and it's made in the USA, which is a rare find over here in Europe.
It is randomly sporting one belt loop, but sadly missing the belt. No worries though; that belt loop was too high up for me anyway, and I've got belts I can use with this dress. It also had shoulder pads, which made me look like a line-backer or something. This was taking the Americana theme a step too far, so they had to go:
As for the rest it was pretty straightforward; a nice steam, throw on a belt and I was ready for the school run. An easy refashion if ever there were :-)
